Regarding Maududi’s saying about Muhajirs, wasn’t Maududi himself a Muhajir?

  2. Zia Ahmad

For the benefit of those of our participants who cannot read Urdu, here is an English translation of the 10 Urdu quotations of Maulana Maududi, founder of the Jamaat Islami, quoted above:

    THE WORDS OF MAULANA MAUDUDI:

    1. “The establishment and birth of Pakistan is equivalent to the birth of a beast.”

    2. “Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s place is not on the throne of leadership. He deserves to face trial as a traitor.”

3.” There were three actors in the partition of India. Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s performance proved to be most unsuccessful”.

    4. “It is haraam to vote for the Muslim League.”

    5. “Muhammad Ali Jinnah is the founder of fool’s paradise.”

    6. “Pakistan is a fool’s paradise and an infidel state of Muslims.”

    7. “Pakistan is filled with millions of robbers, thieves, murderers, adulterers and uncouth wrongdoers.”

    8. “An election campaign is a race of hounds.”

    9. “The Muslim League is an unrighteous and immoral party that has made our collective environment filthier than the lavatory.”

10.” The Mohajirs are deserters and cowards, who fought a national battle, but when the time came to pay the price, they took the path of escape.”

Can one get a link to the original sources of the quotations?

  5. Hayyer

Was Mussawat a newspaper? Is this from the issue of
    14-11-88?

  6. aliarqam

    @Hayyer
the quotations are Urdu translations of the above source…
    Masawat was a pro-PPP newspaper..

  7. yasserlatifhamdani

Musawwat is the PPP mouthpiece and the most left leaning popular Urdu newspaper. Musawwat means equality and equal opportunity and egalitarian society … And the word itself comes from Islamic vocabulary.

The original sources are given underneath each quote.

You’re right. I hadn’t bothered to look closely because of the bad reproduction.

  9. Bin Ismail

Gentlemen, sorry for the oversight. Along with the translation of the words of Maulana Maududi, the references should also have been translated. The original piece appears to be a column from Daily Musawat 14/11/88.

  10. If Maudidi was a fake clergy in disguise then, Imagine what JUI is at present and how horrendous and unfuitful its future campaigns can be for Pakistan. Its the same JUI that used to chant, “paleedistan” instead of Pakistan before partition of 1947.

  11. yasserlatifhamdani

It was called JUH then. The original JUI was a breakaway faction which supported Pakistan. However the current JUI-F consists of the progeny of the JUH which took over the JUI in 1956 after pushing out the Eheteramul Haq Thanvi faction.

  12. Saqib Ali

Can anyone tell me from where i can get the actual copies or the references which are stated above

  13. adnan

you guys just needed to search youtube and failed.
    This is all lies.
i have tarjuman ul quran and what’s quoted above is bullshit and propaganda, just to malign jamaat e islami..
and just a note, i am not a jamaatiya by far

  14. @ adnan, augst 5th 2010.

yet you cannot deny his handwritten scriptures can you? and even I’m not a Jamma’a tan, yet whats true can never be wronged by giving fabricated justifications.

  15. rationalist

what an ugly script! what a mischief islam played on India by enforcing this alien script upon us, upon non-arabic languages and peoples. thus they introduced a partitioning of the minds.

Well i am not a handwriting expert, so i can not tell if it’s his hand writing or not.
    fabricated justifications?
or fabricated evidence as in the ‘image’ above.
I have told u, i have tarjuman ul Quran though not 1947 edition. The latest does not include that.
If anybody please have that edition please inform me or how i can obtain it. This is the only way possible to confirm this. or do u guys have any better suggestion?
Sorry but i can not trust just a random image posted on internet as a proof. As opposed to that Javed Iqbal is a better testimony to Maududi’s legacy than this pathetically written page.

    “what an ugly script!”

Wow how irrational u r, and quick to praise urself.
u r rather emotional. nothing wrong with being emotional, but as opposed to ur rationality the other side is more prominent. u should consider changing ur self-description.

  18. Kamal Rao

    Dear All,
As I know Moulana Moududi is a famous religious personality, Aalim e deen and first of all he is one of the Mufassiran e Quran. So we have no right to talk ambiguously about such type of personalities untill or unless we have complete knowledge and ability to touch the sand under sea. Otherwise there are chances of committing a sin in annoyance.
    Thank you

So what? Please take your wisdom and shove it where the sun don’t shine along with {EDITED}.

  20. Majumdar

    Yasser Pai,

Please take your wisdom and shove it where the sun don’t shine

You want him to place his wisdom in his {EDITED}?
