Poem: Haiti Earthquake

As the earth shifts its burden
From one end to another,
The story of few seconds
Caught in between
The old and young
The women and children
The poverty and its recipients
Knows no bounds
The pain and the damage

The old infliction
As the human wound
Out in the open,
Underneath the rubble,
Out in the distance,
From one end to another
In sadness and despair
Come forward and help
The old human expression
The old sigh and its screams
As the earth shifts its burden!

enslaved, first by another people, then, by a handful of their own. and now nature has unleashed her blind fury upon the poor people of haiti without malice or mercy.

thanks kashkin. i trust more readers will do more to help the hapless victims.

    Salam to all!
In time of great misery and clamor my heart and soul are with the poor victims of blind agents of change. Kashkin truly expressed the feelings of those who have no choice in this though time.

    A humanist
