We Want Answers

We want answers
Pakistan and its people
Where are those souls?
The missing people
Dr Aafia, Amina’s husband
Where are they all?
Only in echoes and memories
The missing souls
Abducted and tortured
Through years of absence
From their homes and loved ones
Through years of solitude
In distant lands, in distant hands
For crimes not proven
For games, not ours
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
Pakistan and its people

We Want Answers
Pakistan and its people
To all what you have done
To all what you have destroyed
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
Pakistan and its people

We want to hear
The truth and justice
For all what you have taken
From our lands and taxes
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
Pakistan and its people

We want answers
From all what you have taken
From our banks and resources
From all the loot and plunders
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
Pakistan and its people

We want answers
To the crumbling infrastructure
The roads, rails and transport
The deteriorating systems
Health and education and your policies
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
Pakistan and its people

We want answers
Pakistan and its people
What you have done
In our names, for your gains
To PIA and Steel Mill
What you have done
About electricity and flour crisis
What you have done
About sugar crisis and death all around
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
We want action
Pakistan and its people

We want answers
For all your lies
In our names, for your gains
For all your promises
For 62 years of invasion
By your greed and plunder
We want answers
Pakistan and its people

We want answers
Pakistan and its people
How you destroyed us
Our dignity and our soul
For all your promises
For all your lies
In our names, for your gains
We want answers
We want action
Pakistan and its people!

Good some one brought this up.

Normally the enlightened moderate aka moderately enlightened Co Ltd keeps quite when the bad apple turns out be from their camp.

A very touching poem. Sentiments expressed beautifully.

    “The missing people
Dr Aafia, … where are they?”

Dr. Aafia is facing trial in the State of New York on charges of terrorism. She has an independent counsel and all the constitutional and fundamental human rights accorded to any accused in that state.

More than one can say about the religious minorities of our hapless nation …

I am sure that a lot of perspectives will change in Pakistan after the Taliban are defeated.

The serious danger that fundamentalism poses will be highlighted, and people will adopt a more flexible approach.

Let us hope that happens soon!

Guyz, we all need to help and defend our sister Afia Siddqui, it is shameful our gov’t is not doing much for her……we need to push for her release and return home

Aafia Siddiqui is charged with terrorism after being arrested as a combatant in Kabul last year. She is being looked after well and has due representation.

Furthermore… let me enlighten you that Siddiqui is either a US Resident or an American Citizen (her children have American passports).

So I am not sure what you mean when you and others like you scream hoarse asking her to be brought back “home”. Where is home? You can’t have it both ways… you can’t become a resident and citizen of another country… then go to country B and wage war against the country of which you were a voluntary resident and/or citizen … and claim country C as your home.

PS: It is not shameful… it is right and proper that the government of Pakistan, which has nothing to do with the matter, is letting law takes its course in the case accused Aafia Siddiqui…

The real reason why freaks, crooks, cranks and madmen keep bringing up Aafia Siddiqui and keep raising clarion calls for “Muhammad Bin Qasim” to rescue her…. is because they fear that a free, fair and impartial judicial process will find her guilty as charged.

Today, the whole world is very unitedly against terrorism.

In such a situation, people have to be very circumspect about whose defense to clamor for. If it is perceived that extremists are being unreasonably supported, the world view could get very negative.

ur right. wht ever happened to the missing ppl? I thought our newly ‘independent’ CJ would be addressing the issue. after all this is what started his troubles with mush n the army. now tht he’s back it seems he’s only concerned with attacking the civilian govt, freeing his chumcha Nawaz but is still petrified of the military. where have our brothers and sisters gone! the govt should investigate wht happened under mush. or indeed wht is happening right now. but the judiciary should also take notice.
