Just wrote this in reply to a birthday wish I got from a friend on Facebook, who mentioned that he will always remember this as the day we elected Mr. 10% as our President:
The supreme irony is that he got elected on a day that is celebrated as “Defence Day“.
You and I don’t have to like it, but the man–or should I say Da Man aka Maanroo Saeen–has more legal right to be President of Pakistan than Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto ever did. He might be as corrupt as his wife, Nawaz Sharif, and Imran Khan rolled into one, but he’s also more politically savvy than all of them combined. Paradoxes are us, man! Democracy is messy, and all that cool stuff, what? After all, American elected–or gave 49% of the vote to–George W Bush not once but twice.
More later. I have a major project to launch today.

With all due respect you have some nerve to put the Great Khan with these crooks. What he did in his personal life was his personal matter.. Unlike, all these thieves he collected $25 Million dollars (in the 90s!) for a cancer hospital from donations..He might have not be politically savvy but he is a giant in a nation which has had few so many pygmies like BB, Zardari, NS, the fascist Altaf Hussein to name a few…

Point taken on Imran adding zero, zilch, nada to the sum of corruption, but how about the level of political savvy and statesmanship (rather than angry demands for vengeance and justice instead of the truth and reconciliation we need)? You want to take up that discussion?

My argument was about putting Imran’s name together with the others..I do not consider him to be politically capable of winning anything in this country…As much as i admire the man, i see most of his opinions especially regarding the fundos as being naive but that does not mean that he needs to be called corrupt…

Greetinsg of the day!!
1st of all let me congratulate you on the Presidency to Mr-Asif Ali Zardari.Thats called the revenge of the history(makafat-e-amal)
Well with all regard i will disagree what mr-Azhar have written in his writings about Mr-Zardari,infact he is presenting the views of urban middle class, right wing media on mr-Zardari.
We cant work on the assumptions. We have to be critical but with all the positive attitude. Now even the right wing media persons have been writing in their articles that mr-Zardari was just sent to prison on the politically motivated false cases.
You see the persons whom started this was Ishaq khan when he dismissed the 1st government of the martyr Benazir Bhutto in 1990,but latter he took the false cases back and took mr-Zardari as a cabinet member in the care taker government.
Then it was the famous tapes which were released of Justice Qayyum&Saif ul rehman,in which it was decided to sent Zardari sb to prison in any case, latter Saif ur rehman made apologies in the court to mr-Zardari.
even the 02 Sharif Brothers made apologies to mr-Zardari in the jail and they confessed that all the cases were just politically motivated and to give Zardari sb a bad name.
So my dear Azhar sb you cant distort the history. And History will take the revenge when tomorrow you will hear the slogans of Jiye Bhutto / Jiye BB,How that Establishment and the 03 Chiefs(Army-Navy-Air-Force)bear that.
The win of the People!!
